LOCAL
Town government is administered by an elected
three-member Board of Selectmen, with the position of First
Selectman being full time. The legislative body of our municipality
is the Town Meeting. The annual town meeting is held the third
Friday in January. Fiscal Affairs are reviewed and approved by a
Board of Finance. The annual budget meeting is held the third Friday
in May. Other town meetings are held as needed. The town encourages
involvement in community activities, boards and commissions. Many
residents volunteer and some even serve in multiple positions.
Public participation is always welcome. Meeting schedules and
agendas are posted in the office of the Town Clerk.
